Learning Korean

I've finally done what I've wanted to do for ages - learn korean! I just had my first korean language lesson today at Peninsula Plaza. Thank goodness my hangover from last night's drinks weren't too bad.

Talking about last night's drinks, it was Karine's birthday yesterday. The few of us went out for a celebration. Sort of. Dinner and happy hour. Dinner was great. Drinks were great too. Guess what? I met my prof at the drinking session. Seated right at the next table. "Fancy seeing you here," he told me. "I've done your essay," I told him. "So don't worry."

Anyway, back to korean. It's just so cool to learn another new language. It's just so refreshing. Korean is like so foreign, yet so familiar, because of the number of dramas I've watched in korean. Can't wait for the next lesson.

A breather from French. Phew! I like French, but when it turned into an academic subject, the interest just goes down the drain. I guess what was why I never liked Chinese too, when I was in school. French is just killing me right now. God, help me, please, that I may have the strength to continue this last semester. I need to (at the very least) pass!

Oh, its exactly a week to baptism. Yippee.

Just for charity

Check this out.

A comedy starring Tony Blair and Catherine Tate.

Yeah. THE Tony Blair.

Funny stuff.

He should seriously consider acting.

Maybe George Bush should do something like that too. Bet he'll be better than his double from Jay Leno's show.

American Idol 6

I think American Idol has been a family thing for me. My family watches it together and basically, my parents have their own individual idols to support and cheer on every season. So basically its always like a united activity, yet war zone in its own sense.

This season seems a little dull though there are some good talents.

Like my favourite - Melinda Doolittle. Great girl, great attitude, great voice.

And look! She's singing one of my favourite songs - My Funny Valentine.

Oh, Melinda is so going to win.

Do check out Lakisha's Midnight Train to Georgia too.
