I was fast asleep this morning when I received a message from Esther.

Esther: Did you know? Jane’s hospitalized.
Me: Is it? What happened?
Esther: Her cousin said she has an inflammation of the appendix and the cest ruptured and there’s internal bleeding
Me: Is it serious?
Esther: Hospitalization plus operation. What do you think? But she’s discharged already, so shouldn’t be too bad.
Me: That’s not too bad. She can still attend your party.
Esther: Can she recover in 2 weeks?
Me: Don’t know. Anyway, what’s cest?
Esther: Don’t know.
Me: Aiyah. Why is it so complicated? All you need to say is that Jane has appendicitis. One word explains it all.
Esther: So what’s cest?
Me: Err… I still don’t know.
